Luu Wong, OTR/L, CHT
Luu Wong, OTR/L, CHT, is an Occupational Therapist, specializing in hand therapy at Washington Univeristy in St. Louis. She graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Luu began her career in a variety of settings prior to obtaining her CHT credentials in 2005. Her career path has taken from inpatient to outpatient settings. She is currently working at Milliken Hand Rehabilitation Center under Washington University Occupational Therapy Program in St. Louis. Luu’s expertise spans across treating both children and adults with a wide range of conditions such as fractures, trauma, tendon injuries, nerve injuries, and arthritis.
In addition to her clinical work, Luu values teaching and learning opportunities. Luu received her training and certification as a Fieldwork Educator in 2023 through AOTA’s Greater OT Education Council.
Outside of her professional life, Luu volunteers for as a mentor for high school students through Mentor4College. She enjoys spending time with her family and dog, trail running, and playing Pickleball.
She is grateful to be part of a team in developing a formal mentorship program for novice therapists. She hopes this presentation will ease the transition for therapists wanting to specialize in hand therapy.
