Yes, ASHT will once again offer a virtual registration for the Annual Meeting. Virtual registration may be purchased until December 31, 2023.
During the conference, virtual attendees will have access to the e-Posters (both scientific posters and clinical practice posters), as well as the online exhibit hall. There will be no livestreamed sessions.

See what's included for in-person and virtual attendees on our Registration Information page.
Will speakers and moderators be in person?
Yes! All ASHT speakers and moderators will present and moderate in person in St. Louis, MO.
Clinical practice poster presenters can fulfill attendance requirements via virtual registration; however, we strongly encourage in-person attendance. Only clinical practice poster presenters who register for in-person attendance will be eligible for additional presentation opportunities.
What are Pre-Conference Institutes?
ASHT offers Pre-Conference Institutes ("Pre-Cons") prior to the official start of the Annual Meeting. These educational sessions offer intense hands-on learning highlighting current hand and upper extremity topics. These sessions are capped, ticketed and require pre-registration. Pre-Conference Institutes are available only to in-person attendees and only one ticket may be purchased.
How do I access my Pre-Cons?
- In-person attendees will participate live on site
- Pre-Cons will not be recorded and will not be available on the on-demand platform. (Please note that Pediatric Specialty Day is an exception, as this will be recorded and made available in the on-demand platform).
How can I view posters at the Annual Meeting?
There are two types of posters at the Annual Meeting this year: 1) Scientific posters, which present summaries of research and 2) Clinical practice posters, which present educational content. Both will provide a visual summary of the content and an accompanying narration.
There will be no physical posters at the meeting. Both types of posters can be viewed on site by going to the poster digital kiosks, which will be set up in the Exhibit Hall. All attendees will be provided with a set of headphones that they can use to listen to the accompanying narration.
Both in-person and virtual attendees can also access all posters on the on-demand platform.
What is St. Lou-a-Palooza?
The St. Lou-a-Palooza is ASHT's conference party Saturday evening that requires purchase of a special ticket. The party will be held at Delmar Hall, and transportation to and from the venue will be provided. There will be food, drinks and a band.
Tickets will be available for sale on site at the registration desk unless the event is already sold out. Due to an attendance cap at the event, we strongly encourage attendees to purchase a party ticket together with your meeting registration.
I have an accessibility need as a presenter, moderator, attendee or exhibitor. Whom should I contact?
Please email meetings@asht.org. The earlier you reach out with your need, the more likely we can provide the necessary accommodation.
