Lauren Trent, MOT, OTR/L
Lauren Trent, MOT, OTR/L is the Senior Manager of Therapeutic Services and R&D at Arm Dynamics. She has a passion for and has been focused on the care of the upper extremity for over 10 years. She began her career as a hand therapist and transitioned to working with upper limb amputees at the Arm Dynamics Midwest Center of Excellence in Overland Park, Kansas. Here she specializes in prosthetic rehabilitation and works with the upper limb amputee population throughout their care process. This includes pre-prosthetic and residual limb care as well as prosthetic evaluation, training, and administration of outcome measures. She also manages the national therapy team at Arm Dynamics, as well as all research initiatives. In her role, Lauren has helped to develop population-specific outcome measures and has co-authored several research studies in this field in recent years. She hopes to continue this research to improve care and outcomes for upper limb amputee prosthetic users. To that end, she is in the process of completing the Therapeutic Science PhD program at the University of Kansas Medical Center with a research focus on the upper limb amputee population.
Lauren currently resides in Kansas City in a multi-generational home with her husband, 2 children, mother and father-in-law, and an assortment of pets.
