Emily Hartnett

Emily Hartnett, OTD, CHT, owns and practices at her hand therapy clinic in Denver, Colorado. While she does see musicians, post- operative patients, workers comp patients, etc., her clinic mainly focuses on rock climbers and rock climbers' injuries. In 2018, Emily completed her MOT capstone which focused on proprioceptive inputs. She tied this research in with her hobby of rock climbing, a proprioceptive- heavy sport. Her first job out of graduate school was at a clinic in the Bay Area of California which was contracted to Tesla. Here, she intervened with repetitive strain injuries with an emphasis on a healthy and safe return to work. In 2020, Emily returned to her alma mater, Quinnipiac University, and completed her Doctoral capstone on the invention, fabrication, and implementation of a specific orthotic for a common rock climbers' injury. (A specialized pulley ring for low grade pulley strains.)  Emily used her background, and her hobby of rock climbing, to open her niche hand therapy clinic in 2022.
