Wendy Reffeor, PhD

Wendy Reffeor, PhD, Interim Associate Dean of the Padnos College of Engineering, Grand Valley State University first performed research on the human hand for her doctoral dissertation entitled, "A Three-Dimensional Dynamic Analysis of the Human Hand for Predicting Tendon, Ligament and Nerve Irritation in the Carpal Tunnel During Typing." Since then, her focus has been primarily on project-based, undergraduate engineering education although her passion for human hand research has continued through both undergraduate and graduate student projects. Her primary research fields include project-based undergraduate education and engineering mechanics/biomechanics.
