Rebecca Ehretsman, PhD, OTR/L

Rebecca Ehretsman, PhD, OT/L became the 18th President of Wartburg College in July of 2022, after serving as the dean of the School of Health Sciences at Elon University, occupational therapy department chair at Concordia University in Wisconsin, and occupational therapy faculty member at Maryville University in St. Louis. Known for her ability to build programs and lead campus-wide initiatives, Becky is a student-centered, engaged, and dynamic leader who readily identifies opportunities for innovation.

A hand specialist and international expert in flexor tendon rehabilitation, she is known for her commitment to global health equity, including both sustainable humanitarian work and education of health care providers around the world. Becky has been honored with the Nathalie Barr Lectureship Award and the Paul Brand Award for Professional Excellence from the American Society of Hand Therapists, as well as the Humanitarian Award from the American Association for Hand Surgery.
