Natalia Ruiz, DPT, OCS, CHT

Natalia Ruiz

I have been a physical therapist for 20 years and my  areas of expertise are orthopedics, hand therapy, and  ergonomics. I am a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) and a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). I  enjoy educating the patients on ways to minimize strain on their hands and upper extremities through multiple techniques and modifications of workspaces. I believe that compassion and a strong therapeutic relationship between the patient and the therapist make a difference in the treatment outcomes as well as individualized care. She is certified in ASTYM, Kinesiotape provider, Blood flow restriction therapy, Myofascial decompression technique and Certified office and health ergonomics assessor.  I am also involved in research as Faculty member for Rusk rehabilitation and publicatons include joint proprioception, orthotics and hand transplant rehabilitation. I have been appointed advanced item writer by the Federation of States Boards of  Physical Therapy FSBPT, for which I have been involved with as a volunteer since 2017.
