Martin Boyer, MD, FRCS(C)
Dr. Boyer graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at University of Toronto in 1988 and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Toronto in 1995. He completed a trauma fellowship at Sunnybrook Medical Center in Toronto followed by a hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis. He is currently the Carol B. and Jerome T. Loeb Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and serves as the Associate Residency Program Director. He has been a North American Traveling Fellow and a Sterling Bunnel Traveling Fellow. He is a member of the AAOS, AOA, ASSH, OTA, Orthopedic Overseas and COA.
Dr. Boyer specializes in hand and wrist surgery and microvascular surgery. He currently is a Director on the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is the Past President of The American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Boyer has diverse research interests and has published extensively. He is a guitarist and an organic gardener. His favorite bands are The Smiths and Rush.
