Lisa Owen

Lisa Owen, OTD, OTR/L, CLT, CHT has been a practicing Occupational Therapist (OT) for over 15 years. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) from Tufts University ('09) and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Boston University ('23). She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the OT Department at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). She teaches courses related to kinesiology, human movement, group process and upper extremity rehabilitation and orthotic fabrication. In addition to teaching, Lisa continues to work clinically on a weekly basis in outpatient orthopedics as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). She earned a Certification in Lymphedema Therapy (CLT) in 2009 from Klose Training and Consulting and earned her Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) in 2015. Lisa is an experienced educator both nationally and locally and is also an entrepreneur and inventor. She founded Right Hand Therapy, a continuing education company related to the practice of hand therapy and develops 3D anatomical models of the upper extremity. Since 2021, Lisa serves as the Legislative Chair for the New Hampshire Occupational Therapy Association (NHOTA).
