Lisa Dominick, MS, OTR, CHT
Lisa has been a Certified Hand Therapist since 2006 and is currently the Hand Center Supervisor at Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a Clinician Manager primarily focused on treating postoperative upper extremity injuries. Originally from the New York City area, Lisa graduated from Pace University with a BA in Literature and Communications and from Mercy College with a BS/MS in Occupational Therapy. She started her professional career in Physical Rehabilitation at Helen Hayes Hospital and eventually transitioned to outpatient Orthopedics, developing her passion for hand therapy. She has lectured OT students on Hand Anatomy and Kinesiology at Mercy College, and has spoken at NYU on one of her favorite topics, “Managing the Challenging Patient in Hand Therapy.” She considers herself fortunate to have had wonderful and inspiring mentors throughout her career, and she is focused on giving back to the profession through mentoring new staff and students. When not in the clinic, Lisa is exploring her new home state of North Carolina, playing pickleball and spending time with her daughter, Mia.
