Katie McQueen

Dr. Katie McQueen is a passionate Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist at Corewell Health/Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.  She earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy from Calvin University. Katie has spent her career focusing on helping children and adults with upper extremity conditions like birth brachial plexus injuries, cerebral palsy, congenital hand differences and general upper extremity injuries. Before this, Katie worked at the Milliken Hand Rehabilitation Center and Shriner’s Hospital for Children in St. Louis MO, where she treated various hand injuries and assisted to develop a special program for breast cancer patients. Katie is also involved in research, publishing work on apraxia treatments and tendinopathies. She has presented her findings at conferences and traveled to Kenya to teach pediatric upper extremity rehabilitation to local occupational therapy students. Her dedication to her field and her patients drives her to continually seek better treatment methods and share her knowledge with others.
