Jonah Lewis, OTD/S
My name is Jonah Lewis, and I am a current second year Doctor of Occupational Therapy student at Des Moines University (DMU), graduating in May 2026. I am originally from the western suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul (CSP) with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2023. At CSP, I was a proud member, and leader on our baseball team that competed at the NCAA DII level. I interned with the strength and conditioning program and athletic trainers during the spring of 2023. Following my graduation, I decided to pursue a degree in occupational therapy. During my first year at DMU I took on various leadership roles. I serve as the Vice President of the class, Student Ambassador, and College of Health Sciences Representative and Treasurer. Within my first year as an occupational therapy student at DMU, I have narrowed down my areas of interest to Hand Therapy and Neurorehabilitation. I look forward to continuing my education and becoming an OT. In the meantime, the goal of helping others regain independence and improve quality of life will keep me inspired.
