Jeff Young, MS, CSCS, ACSM-EIM
Jeff Young holds a master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science, is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, a doctoral student in Kinesiology (EdD), and has nearly 30 years of professional experience. He implements and oversees medical fitness and post-rehabilitation services at a clinical facility in Manhattan, NYC, and also provides virtual medical fitness services, nationally.
He is an adjunct lecturer at CUNY York College in Queens, NY, is a cofounder of the Medicine-Rehab-Fitness Institute (www.MRFInstitute.org), is the founding chair of the Special Populations Interest Group for the National Strength and Conditioning Association, past president of the American College of Sports Medicine’s Greater New York Regional Chapter, a medical fitness subject matter expert for several medical, rehabilitation, and fitness organizations, and a continuing education provider for the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
He has worked at world-class facilities such as Duke University, UCLA, and Beth Israel Medical Centers, and as the founding fitness coordinator and faculty practice provider at Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Center for Health and Healing in NYC – the most comprehensive, urban-based, academic integrative medicine and medical fitness facility in the U.S. at the time.
Additionally, Jeff was selected to develop and lead the exercise component of a lifestyle medicine-based corporate health program for LNG Canada, a $40 billion clean energy project in British Columbia, Canada.
