Frank Aerts, PT, DSc, OCS
Dr. Frank Aerts, PT, DSc, OCS is an associate professor for the DPT program at Manchester University, Fort Wayne, IN. Frank graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, Physical Therapy Program in 1990. He obtained his Doctor of Science degree from Andrews University. Since 2012, Frank has taught in the Andrews University DPT and DSc programs. He became a full-time faculty member at Manchester University in 2023.
Frank is the primary author of Inter-rater Reliability of Sustained Aberrant Movement Patterns as a Clinical Assessment of Muscular Fatigue (2016) published in The Open Orthopedics Journal and co-authored the textbook: Hand-Held Dynamometry - Guidelines for Daily Clinical Practice (2018 - ISBN: 978-164316219-5). His main research interests include the development of a hand-held dynamometry “Strength Profile" as a clinical outcome measure. Additionally, Frank has developed a clinical biopsychosocial assessment and intervention framework for implementation of the International Classification of Function and Disability in daily clinical practice.
