Ashim Bakshi, MHS, OTR , CHT

Ashim Bakshi MHS OTR CHT, is a fellowship trained practicing hand therapist with more than 25 years of experience in treating conditions of the upper quadrant. He is the owner /clinical partner of an outpatient clinic in Indiana and consults as a senior therapist at a large hospital system. 
Ashim is a consultant and adjunct faculty for the Doctor of Physical Therapy and Masters of Occupational Therapy programs at Indiana State University. His teaching coursework at the University includes anatomy and biomechanics, advanced upper extremity conditions and orthotic fabrication.
Ashim is also partner and principal at Advanced Rehab Seminars and has presented continuing education courses nationally and internationally on orthopedic shoulder, elbow and hand rehabilitation to various hospital systems and large clinic groups. 
Ashim is an active member of the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists (ASSET) and the American Society for Hand Therapists (ASHT) and has presented at multiple annual conferences besides being a contributor to ASHT’s webinar series. Ashim was one of the collaborative authors for the seminal paper on consensus guidelines of rehab for shoulder arthroplasty that was published in the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. More recently he was the invited speaker at the 2023 FESSH -EFSHT Congress that was held in Rimini Italy. Ashim will be presenting at ASSET’s 2024 annual meeting in San Antonio and has been invited to speak at the 2025 IFSSH and IFSHT Triennial Congress in Washington DC.
