Ranee Munaim, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Ranee Munaim MS, OTR/L, CHT is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Division of Occupational Therapy at the University of Washington. Her academic focus includes instruction in hand therapy, physical disabilities, anatomy, kinesiology, and foundational technical and clinical skills for entry-level occupational therapy students.

Clinically, Ranee is passionate about treating complex hand injuries and helping patients achieve their functional goals. She has worked in the outpatient hand therapy clinic at Harborview Medical Center since 2008 and currently maintains a part-time clinical practice alongside her academic role.

Ranee played a key role in launching the Hand Therapy Fellowship Program in 2023 —a collaborative initiative between the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center. This 12-month intensive program is designed to support occupational therapists in developing advanced specialization in hand therapy. She continues to serve as the program coordinator, with the next fellow beginning this fall.
