Hilton Gottschalk, MD
Dr. Hilton Gottschalk is a pediatric orthopedic hand specialists at Central Texas Pediatric Orthopedics in Austin Texas. He grew up in Texas and went to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas for his general surgery internship and residency in orthopedic surgery. He followed his passion in working with children and obtained a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics in San Diego, California and continued his sub-specialization with a hand fellowship in both pediatric and adult hand care at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois. After 11 years of training, his "not-so patient" wife recommended getting a proper job and they arrived in Austin in 2012 with their son and daughter. Dr. Gottschalk treats general pediatric orthopedic conditions and sub-specializes in pediatric hand and upper extremities, to include congenital conditions, trauma, sports injuries, spasticity, and juvenile arthritis. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery as well as Hand surgery and is an Assistant Professor at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. He currently serves as the President of Central Texas Pediatric Orthopedics and is the Medical Director of Strictly Pediatric Surgery Center. He serves on several national committees for the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
