Wendy T. Medeiros, OTR, CHT (retired)

Wendy Medeiros, OTR, is a retired Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), inventor, problem-solver, and mother. Her passion for hand therapy was first sparked during a pre-med program at Shriners Children's Hospital in Honolulu, where she was captivated by the creativity and precision behind custom hand orthoses. That fascination deepened during her time at Stanford, eventually leading her into private practice, where she opened her own clinic. In 2006, she turned that expertise into invention, becoming the creator, manufacturer, and owner of the WristWidget®, now with over 1,000,000 units sold worldwide. Along the way, she's worked directly with more than 60,000 TFCC tear patients, building what is believed to be the largest case history of TFCC tears in existence, and continues to dedicate her time to advancing research and understanding of this often-misunderstood injury.
