Tymar Fields, MOTR/L, CHT

Tymar Fields, MOTR/L, CHT is a pediatric occupational therapist and certified hand therapist at Children's Hospital Colorado. Professionally, she is inspired by new ideas, creative problem solving and shared story telling. She began her occupational therapy career in 2008 at a non-profit level 1 trauma hospital, working with children and adults in inpatient and outpatient settings. There she specialized in upper extremity trauma and orthopedics.  Tymar became a certified hand therapist and dedicated herself to pediatrics in 2014. She currently provides interventions in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, Tymar participates in multi-disciplinary orthopedic and plastic hand surgery clinics, brachial plexus clinic, burn clinic and amputee clinic. Tymar partnered with her colleague to create a motor intensive program for children with brachial plexus birth injuries. Clinically she specializes in orthosis fabrication, upper extremity interventions for the pre-term and medically fragile infants, congenital limb differences, care of traumatic injuries, wound and burn care, brachial plexus injuries, epidermolysis bullosa and upper extremity orthopedics and sports.  Tymar is a national and international presenter on a variety of pediatric hand therapy topics and is a primary instructor and clinical mentor for the Children’s Hospital Colorado pediatric hand therapy fellowship program.
