Sarah Wittak, OTD, OTR/L, CHT

Sarah Wittak, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, is a Certified Hand Therapist at Orthopedic & Spine Centers of Wisconsin, a Part-Time Professor of Occupational Therapy at Carroll University, and a committee member for the Wisconsin Hand Experience. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of upper extremity conditions, with clinical expertise spanning the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Sarah is passionate about combining evidence-based practice with hands-on rehabilitation techniques to optimize patient outcomes and restore meaningful function. In addition to her clinical practice, Sarah is actively involved in occupational therapy education, teaching graduate-level coursework in anatomy, biomechanics, and upper extremity rehabilitation at Carroll University. She also serves as a guest lecturer in orthotic fabrication for the University of Wisconsin–Madison Occupational Therapy Program and the Edgewood University Occupational Therapy Program, where she provides hands-on instruction in upper extremity orthotic design and fabrication. Sarah has presented at the Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association Annual Conference and the Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Women's Wellness Summit, sharing her expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation, injury prevention, and occupational therapy practice. Her current scholarly interests focus on upper extremity biomechanics, women's health, injury prevention, and innovative approaches to neuromuscular rehabilitation. She is dedicated to advancing collaboration between surgeons, therapists, and rehabilitation professionals to improve patient care through education, evidence-based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
