Sarah Doerrer, PhD, OTR/L, CHT, CLT
Sarah Doerrer is an Assistant Professor at George Washington University and teaches in the occupational therapy entry level doctorate program. Sarah received her BS of Health Science and MS in Occupational Therapy in 2001 from Misericordia University and a PhD in Occupational Therapy in 2019 from Nova Southeastern University. She is a certified hand therapist and certified lymphedema therapist. Sarah received The Judy Bell-Krotoski “Grab the Evidence” Award in 2023 and The Burkhalter New Investigator Award in 2017 from American Hand Therapy Foundation and has published her research in the Journal of Hand Therapy. Sarah serves on the research division of the American Hand Therapy Association. She has a special interest in improving clinical outcomes for individuals with distal radius fracture.
