Priya Bakshi, OTD, OTR, CHT

Priya Bakshi is an associate professor at Indiana State University’s master’s level occupational therapy program since 2017 and has been a practicing certified hand therapist at Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center since 2012. She has over 25 years of experience, is passionate about hand care, and continues to challenge herself to improve patient outcomes. Her teaching philosophy is to encourage her students to be life-long learners, to be a positive instrument of change in their client’s recovery and be advocates for the profession. 
She is the faculty advisor for this culminating scholarly work conducted by master’s students, Hayley Medsker, Seth Murphy, Katherine Peters, Madison O’Daniel, Alexander Hatter and Benjamin Snodgrass. They are in their level II fieldwork, gaining more knowledge and expertise in their chosen profession and are grateful for the opportunity to share their research study findings at the ASHT 2024 annual meeting.
