Michael Borst

Michael J. Borst OTR, OTD, CHT, FAOTA is a Professor of Occupational Therapy at Concordia University Wisconsin, where he teaches courses in Occupational Kinesiology, Orthopedic Rehabilitation, and Evidence-based Practice. He has been a Certified Hand Therapist for 24 years. Michael is a co-editor and co-author of the upcoming book, "Neumann’s Kinesiology Foundations for Occupational Therapy," to be released in early 2027. He has also authored chapters in "Cooper’s Fundamentals of Hand Therapy," Trombly’s "Occupational Therapy for Physical Dysfunction," and ASHT's "Test Prep for the CHT Exam." He is interested in applying research findings in the clinic and classroom, and has taught evidence-based differential diagnosis, physical agents, and upper extremity rehabilitation to national and international audiences. Orthotic intervention is a special focus of his, and he enjoys connecting theory, research, and clinical practice. Michael is excited to welcome you all to Milwaukee for the first ASHT Annual Meeting in Wisconsin!
