Meagan Pehnke, MS, OTR/L, CHT, CLT

Meagan Pehnke is a Clinical Specialist in Occupational Therapy at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she has dedicated her career exclusively to pediatric care. As a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), Meagan specializes in pediatric hand therapy and plays an integral role in both the Brachial Plexus and Orthopaedics Clinics. Meagan serves as a researcher on the Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopaedics team, with a focused interest in congenital differences and brachial plexus birth injuries (BPBI). Her work in these areas has led to multiple publications, and she has presented her research at both national and international conferences. She has also presented as an invited speaker at multi-disciplinary conferences in areas related to her expertise in pediatric hand and upper extremity rehabilitation as well as BPBI. Meagan has co-authored multiple book chapters on BPBI, congenital upper limb differences and CHT test preparation materials. In addition to her academic and research work, Meagan serves as a clinical mentor and is actively involved in developing and expanding the pediatric hand therapy program at CHOP, with a focus on improving access to specialized care and advancing best practices in the field. Her global health work includes participation in international surgical missions, where she has been a strong advocate for integrating occupational therapy into multidisciplinary care models.
