Maud Makoni, OTD, MA, CHT

Dr. Maud Makoni, OTD, MA, OTR/L, CHT, is an assistant professor of occupational therapy at North Central College and a certified hand therapist with more than 20 years of clinical and educational experience. She teaches physical dysfunction, a hand therapy elective, and other occupational therapy courses that bridge classroom learning with evidence-based clinical practice. Dr. Makoni earned a post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Leadership from North Central College. Her work integrates occupation-based hand therapy with professional virtues, including practical wisdom, perseverance, compassion, and integrity.
