Matthew Butler, MD

Dr. Matthew Butler is a board certified hand and upper extremity surgeon who practices in West Palm Beach, FL at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is a highly regarded and experienced surgeon who treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. After completing his undergraduate studies at The University of Notre Dame, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry, Dr. Butler earned his medical degree at The University of Florida where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and earned the William Enneking award for his performance in orthopedics. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training at Vanderbilt University followed by a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the renowned Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. Dr Butler lectures regionally and nationally on topics in the field of hand and upper extremity surgery and regularly collaborates with other leaders in his field to help advance knowledge and surgical techniques. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery.
