Laurie Pacheco, BS, MA, OTR/L, CHT
Laurie Pacheco, BS, MA, OTR/L, CHT, has been a practicing occupational therapist for nearly 25 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2001 and began her career in adult rehabilitation. In 2003, she transitioned into hand therapy while concurrently completing her post-professional Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy at New York University, which she earned in 2005. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at NYU.
Laurie has devoted the majority of her career to hand therapy, working extensively in private practice settings throughout New York City. She earned her Certified Hand Therapist credential in 2022 and currently practices on Long Island, where she independently developed and successfully launched the Occupational Therapy/Hand Therapy Clinic and Program at NYU Langone Health’s Rusk Rehabilitation in East Meadow.
Additionally, Laurie played a pivotal role in planning and opening the Hand Therapy Clinics at NYU Langone’s Lake Success and Huntington locations. Her leadership ensured seamless service integration, strict adherence to clinical quality standards, and the cultivation of strong referral networks that have driven clinic growth and enhanced patient outcomes.
