Laurie Johnson, MHS, OTR/L, CHT

Laurie Johnson, MHS, OTR/L, CHT currently serves as Therapy Coordinator for the Marietta clinic at Georgia Hand, Shoulder & Elbow. She earned her Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 2009. She received her Certification in Hand Therapy in 2014. Laurie is passionate about advancing clinical practice through education, mentorship, and leadership. She has served as chair of her organization's annual continuing education conference, developed clinical education resources, and enjoys mentoring occupational therapy students and new clinicians. She is currently a participant in the American Society of Hand Therapists Leadership Development Program, where she is exploring strategies to strengthen leadership, therapist engagement, and workplace culture. Her clinical interests include upper extremity rehabilitation, therapist development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and improving clinical workflows to enhance both patient care and the therapist experience.
