Krystal Brewington, OTR/L, OTD, CPAM, CHT

Dr. Krystal Brewington, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, CPAM, is an occupational therapy educator, researcher, and Assistant Professor with expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation, hand therapy, and prosthetic rehabilitation. A Certified Hand Therapist and Certified Physical Agent Modalities practitioner, Dr. Brewington brings extensive clinical and academic experience to her work, with a focus on advancing evidence-based practice, clinical readiness, mentorship, and innovative occupational therapy education. Her scholarship and professional service reflect a commitment to strengthening the occupational therapy profession through research, leadership, and advocacy. She has contributed to initiatives focused on upper extremity prosthetic rehabilitation, interprofessional education, international service learning, and the development of future occupational therapy practitioners. Dr. Brewington also serves the American Society of Hand Therapists through research, mentorship, and professional leadership activities. Beyond academia, Dr. Brewington is passionate about creating opportunities for meaningful mentorship, service, and community engagement while empowering the next generation of occupational therapy professionals to lead with clinical excellence, compassion, and purpose.
