Jessica Hanley, MD

Jessica Hanley, MD, is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery who specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery at Children’s Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Hanley is originally from Michigan and graduated with highest honors from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 2013 and completed residency at the University of Iowa, one of the nation's top orthopedic surgery training programs. She completed an adult and pediatric hand and upper extremity fellowship at Harvard/Mass General Brigham and Boston Children’s Hospital in 2019. She is currently the chief of Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Children's Wisconsin and her career is primarily focused on pediatric conditions, with a particular interest in upper limb trauma and congenital differences. She has numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented at many national and regional orthopedic surgery conferences. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA) and Pediatric Hand Study Group (PHSG). When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and running marathons.
