Greg Pitts, OTD, MS, OTR/L, CHT Greg Pitts, OTD, MS, OTR/L, CHT, is the Chief Executive Officer of Commonwealth Hand & Physical Therapy and a nationally recognized leader in upper extremity rehabilitation, healthcare leadership, and industrial medicine. With more than 36 years of clinical experience and 30 years in private practice, he has dedicated his career to advancing evidence-based rehabilitation, operational excellence, and patient-centered care. As CEO, Dr. Pitts leads a growing outpatient rehabilitation organization with approximately 135 employees, providing comprehensive physical and occupational therapy services throughout Kentucky. His leadership emphasizes quality improvement, clinical outcomes, Lean healthcare systems, and the development of future rehabilitation leaders. Dr. Pitts is an accomplished national educator who has lectured extensively on upper extremity trauma, complex rehabilitation, industrial medicine, and leadership. For the past 13 years, he has served as faculty for the Center for the Intrepid and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, teaching military and civilian clinicians advanced management of combat-related injuries, battlefield trauma, and upper extremity reconstruction. For more than 31 years, Dr. Pitts has consulted with Toyota Motor Manufacturing in the areas of Lean manufacturing, ergonomics, medical management of occupational injuries, process improvement, and operational efficiency. He also provided 18 years of onsite rehabilitation services, helping integrate clinical excellence with workplace performance and injury prevention. A passionate mentor and lifelong educator, Dr. Pitts is committed to developing the next generation of rehabilitation professionals while advancing innovation, leadership, and quality throughout healthcare. He is also the proud father of six children—five daughters and one son—and continues to dedicate his career to improving the lives of patients, clinicians, and the communities they serve.
