Fatima Adamu, MS, OTR/L, CHT

Fatima Adamu-Good, BA, MS, OTR/L, CHT, RYT, is a Certified Hand Therapist, occupational therapist, educator, visual communicator, and Registered Yoga Teacher whose work bridges upper-extremity rehabilitation, patient education, health literacy, mentorship, movement, and advocacy. She brings experience treating common and complex hand and upper-extremity conditions in orthopedic practice, as well as designing educational programming for patients, clinicians, students, and community partners. Fatima's work focuses on making specialized hand therapy knowledge more visible, understandable, and accessible. She is especially interested in how therapists can use plain language, visual tools, drawing, embodied awareness, and small daily advocacy practices to help patients understand their conditions, seek appropriate care sooner, and connect hand function to meaningful participation in daily life. Her current projects explore the role of visual communication and community-based education in strengthening clinical reasoning, patient engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional identity. She is passionate about helping hand therapists amplify the value of their work inside and beyond traditional clinical settings, using practical, sustainable strategies that support both patient access and professional resilience.
