Eli Yovits, OTR/L, CHT
Eli Yovits, OTR/L, CHT is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist with 15 years of clinical experience specializing in upper extremity rehabilitation. He is the hand therapy supervisor at Motion PT’s Manhattan clinics where he oversees hand therapy services, as well as trains and mentors Level II students and early-career clinicians in the clinic setting.
Eli serves as adjunct faculty at Touro University’s Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program, where he helps prepare the next generation of therapists. He is also an active member of several volunteer committees within the ASHT.
Throughout the year, Eli independently organizes and teaches continuing education workshops focused on introductory and intermediate orthotic fabrication, drawing from his practical expertise in custom orthoses.
On social media, he’s known as @thehandenthusiast, where he shares clinical tips, splinting insights, and case-based education aimed at supporting both new and experienced therapists. He combines hands-on knowledge with a passion for practical teaching, and is committed to keeping treatment strategies grounded, effective, and accessible.
