April Bryant

April Bryant is an occupational therapist specialist with University of Colorado Health Systems. She has been an occupational therapist since 2011. She completed a hand therapy fellowship with University of Michigan Hospital in 2015 and became a CHT in 2018. She worked briefly for a private orthopedic surgery group in Arizona before returning to her home state of Colorado where she has worked for UCHealth since 2018. April currently serves on ASHT’s research division. In 2021, April completed her OTD with Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She published her capstone project as a manuscript in support of occupational therapists’ roles in facilitating health literacy with The Open Journal of Occupational Therapy. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, two young children and their Bernese mountain dog, Gus. Lydia Delkamiller is a recent graduate of University of Nebraska Medical Center’s OTD program. She lives in Denver with husband. April and Lydia had the opportunity to critically appraise the topic of “Proximal Stability for Distal Ability” during Lydia’s level II FW experience. They are very excited to share what they learned with everyone attending ASHT’s annual meeting.
