Katie Pisano, OTR/L, CHT

Katie Pisano, OTR/L, CHT has been an occupational therapist since 2008 and a hand therapist since 2015. She has worked in inpatient neurological rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan AbilityLab) where she gained clinical and teaching experience and was a research assistant for studies involving individuals in minimally conscious states. She completed the Evelyn J. Makin hand therapy fellowship at the Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center in 2013 and has since worked in outpatient hand therapy at the Hand and Upper Body Rehabilitation Center, a private practice in Erie, PA. She has continued to be involved in lecturing and research, contributing articles to the Journal of Hand Therapy on CMC OA and to chapters of the most recent edition of Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity, including the chapter on the stiff hand.
